SCOE Secure Building
Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our staff, students, and visitors. To ensure a secure environment and facilitate emergency preparedness, we have implemented a few visitor policies.
Check-In and Check-Out:
All visitors are kindly asked to use our convenient Visitor Aware management system for check-in and check-out. For the initial check-in, we request a government issued photo identification for verification purposes. This is a one-time requirement for enhanced security.
Identification Badges:
Upon check-in, visitors will receive identification badges. Please wear these badges prominently for easy identification while on campus. While this does not grant unrestricted access, it helps us maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Friendly Campus Wandering:
Feel free to explore our campus within reasonable limits. If you are unsure about where to go or have questions, our staff members are here to help. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance.
Policy Adherence:
We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to our visitor policy. It is designed to create a secure and respectful environment for all. If the policy is unintentionally overlooked or broken, our team is here to help and provide guidance to you. However, repeated violations may result in restrictions regarding campus access.
Revocation of Access:
Access to the building is a privilege granted for the benefit of everyone's safety. Our staff members may inquire about the purpose of your visit if you are spotted wandering the campus alone ensuring everyone feels comfortable and secure. Access may be revoked at any time.
Please see the California Department of Education Comprehensive School Safety Plans for more information.
