Kidder Creek Outdoor School Day Camp
Providing a fun, safe, and positive learning experience for all students in NATURE!
Kidder Creek Camp, owned by Mount Hermon, is located in the beautiful Scott Valley on over 400 acres—offering ample opportunities for adventure and exploration. Siskiyou County Office of Education (SCOE) contracts with Kidder Creek for the facilities.
The SCOE Kidder Creek Outdoor School day and overnight camps feature unique, hands-on science field studies designed for 5th and 6th grade students. Areas of study include Geology, Forestry, River Ecosystems, and Outdoor Recreation. Each day includes team-building cohort activities, engaging science stations, and recreational experiences such as hiking, laser tag, and the adventure course.
Day Camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with lunch provided by the camp.
Overnight Camps begin Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and conclude Friday between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. Students engage in ecology themed team building activities throughout the day and are housed in rustic cabins with a high school counselor, supported by their teachers and the Outdoor School Directors, housed in close proximity ensuring a safe and positive camp experience.
