State and Federal Programs

State and Federal Programs provides technical support to schools and districts on state and federal categorically funded programs. Our support includes training and assistance with the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) development, School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) development, School Site Council (SSC) training, formation of school and District English Learner Advisory Committees (DELAC), District Advisory Committee training, Consolidated Application Report assistance, assessment and accountability trainings and resources, and monthly updates for all administrators in the county.

We support the schools of the Siskiyou County Office of Education and their communities. We strive to provide the students with an outstanding academic program by coordinating the collaborative efforts of school personnel, families, and the community.

The cornerstone of these efforts is the development of each districts’ Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), each school's Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and each School Accountability Report Card (SARC). Each of the schools have a dedicated leadership team that includes classified personnel, teachers, administrators, parents, and students. This diverse group, called the School Site Council (SSC), work together to create the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and provide guidance in the development of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The SSC evaluates the school’s needs and then strategize and implement ways to better meet the academic needs of the students. The SSC continuously monitors the implementation of the LCAP and SPSA and the impact it has on the academic progress of the students. These plans help meet the state and federal mandates and Local Education Agency’s (LEA) initiatives.

A free Local Control Accountability Plan work session series and customized workshop trainings are offered to all districts in the county. Technical assistance training is provided for Federal Program Monitoring (FPM). Finally, we provide customized training for all federal and state fund requirements.
